The free “it’s okay, he’s an alcoholic asshole and I’m leaving him anyway” subgenre! (I have not read a single paranormal romance book where the leading lady starts off married to an alcoholic/total ass (…I am pleased about this) – only run into one series where she’s married in the first place.)
