Some of you may have noticed, I’m making very slow changes to the official site where the shop is! In an effort to make some changes and be more focused on making this a business rather than a hobby, I’ve been in the process of making some decisions and those decisions are now turning into action!
The short version
I’m phasing out everything that I mail out myself.
The long version
I’ve realized that regularly holding a diverse inventory is making things a lot more complicated for me. Most of my stuff is already available elsewhere that will handle the shipping, and it will ship a heck of a lot cheaper from them than it will from me. It’s really a lot better for you in that regard.
For me, I’m also just realizing I don’t have a lot of space to keep stock in general. Now that I’m back home, I’m reassessing the space I have and what I want to do with it and, well, stocking inventory and materials for packing and shipping materials isn’t really what I’m looking to do long term. Not if I can help it.
But what about the things I can’t get from the shops?
You can still get them from me at in person events! I’m planning to continue doing those, and that is honestly where the vast majority of those items that you can only get from me sell anyway. There’s just not a lot of interest in getting this stuff from my online shop.
Probably because Canadian shipping costs are pretty high.
What next?
Slowly, I’m going to be updating all of the buy links into links to the shops where you can get stuff and Scrap Paper Entertainment is going to become more of a hub of everything I do rather than a shop in and of itself.
